Sneak Peek: Indigo Rd.

Arriving in-stores (and online) this September, may we introduce Indigo Rd.! After viewing this collection at this month’s FFaNY shoe show, I am so excited for this brands arrival at Rack Room Shoes.

Indigo Rd. is in its first year of being but already its making waves in the footwear industry, with breath-taking details, quality materials & craftsmanship and a fun but functional approach to fashion. Inspired by boho culture, the Indigo Rd. collection is half festival-chic, half free-spirit funk for a 100% stunning collection.

First & foremost, the vibe of Indigo Rd. can be easily summed up with this beautiful brand board. You will be able to see the inspiration behind this board in every shoe & boot style.

The Indigo Rd. showroom (LOL, “shoe”room) speaks to the brand’s vision in a very clear way.

A few of the Indigo Rd. boot styles our Seasonal Buyer Alyson is bringing to your attention in the next few months.

Rack Room Shoes also offers an assortment of exclusive private brands commissioned from the best manufacturers in the business. These private brands offer the customer great styles and outstanding values, which translates into satisfied, loyal, repeat customers. The foundation for Rack Room Shoes was established in 1920 in Salisbury, North Carolina by Phil Levinson, and later passed on to his son-in-law, Mort Lerner. The period from 1920 until 1984 was one of modest growth. However, in 1984, the 22-store company was purchased by The Deichmann Group, a Germany- based shoe retailer, beginning a period of accelerated growth and infrastructure modernization. By 1990, Rack Room Shoes was operating 100 stores and just 4 years later the 200th store opened. In 1995, the company relocated its United States headquarters to a 72,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. Over the next ten years the Rack Room Shoes chain doubled in size, with locations in 24 states from New Jersey to the tip of Florida to the California borders.
